hello, It does indeed sound interesting what marvel has planned for the avengers titles. I’ll wait and see if anything becomes of their plans.

Yes, the Avengers line is going to get revamped, (or to borrow a title from a Thunderbolts arc , Brian Bendis is going to be burning down the house.) this was expected. My main concern is what is going to happen with the Thunderbolts. Okay you are probably scratching your head thinking “Siege is all about the Avengers, and you are concerned about the Thunderbolts ?!? wtf” Okay Songbird was a bonafide hero, and to say Songbird and Penance got screwed over by Norman Osborn, and Moonstone was an understatement. So while the Avengers goes trough it’s restructuring, so will the Thunderbolts. My prediction for the Thunderbolts is that Songbird will get the Thunderbolts back but instead of being placed on a team with all out psychos & sociopaths (Bullseye, Venom, Moonstone, and Norman) she will be surrounded by like minded individuals such as Diamondback from the soon to be cancelled Avengers The Initiative (possibly resulting in a new name, and a much needed new costume for Diamondback.) Penance (he needs a do -over with the T-Bolts, and to be surrounded by people who genuinely have his best interests at heart) Ant-Man(Eric O’Grady, I can see Diamondback saying “O’Grady will be a hero, even if it kills him”) Fixer & Mach V (Cap would say those two are assets going to waste as desk jockeys for the CSA). So post Siege if Diamondback does survive I could see her requesting for the files of the Thunderbolt program from Steve Rogers, if Steve Rogers is head of SHIELD, and saying “Look , (Norman) Osborn scrapped what was a good idea, that I can get behind {offering villains that wanted to reform a second chance at redemption}, lets start it back up, with Songbird at the helm who knows this team better than I do”. Hello, youngman I was indeed impressed by your
opinions, as I only buy ‘tpb’ of of certain titles these days. Comics are just too expensive, however, I will now checkout the Avengers ‘tpb’ based on your article here.

Well, the gun may not be used to actually resurrect him. It could be that the gun wasn’t lethal or did something to him to imitate death so that he was buried alive or something. I don’t know.

I do know that Thor spoke to Cap’s ghost, so there needs to be an explanation for that.

I’m with you on the gun used to kill Cap. It seem awfully convenient to me that the same gun will be used to resurrect him. That being said I think I’ll put my faith in Ed Brubaker and see how things turn out. Hopefully Reborn isn’t lame.

They canceled Ultimate Fantastic Four. There used to be Ultimate Fantastic Four, Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate Spider-Man, and various mini-series. The Ultimatum mini-series is pretty much destroying the hell out of the Ultimate Universe, and all of the Ultimate books were canceled. Ultimate Spidey is the only one that is coming back, albeit as Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, and Peter Parker might be dead due to the events of Ultimatum (We find out tomorrow.). If he’s dead, than Ultimate Comics Spider-Man is going to have someone other than Peter Parker as Spider-Man.

I’m thinking fantastic four, mostly because it historically has had some of the best story lines. But then again, you can’t really discount the Xmen either. They’re the teacher’s pets of marvel.

People who pirate something would not have bought it anyways. This is the same crap argument used by newspapers, the music industry, the motion picture industry, and all morons too lazy and inept to adapt their business to the changing marketplace.

If I’m pirating music, it’s because I don’t think the record label deserves to have my money. The artists don’t get any money from album sales, that’s why they have tours.

I’m not as familiar with the comic book industry, however, I can probably bet that the artists behind the comics aren’t making much money, it’s the distributor that is bringing in the dollars.

What you look at is things like the Wall Street Journal online, which is actually doing quite well for being a subscription based website. Look at Dr. Horrible. They both figured out that “hey, it’s ok if I’m possibly losing a little by making my content online, but I’m exposing my product/service to an extra 500 million internet users who might be interested.”

And of course, you know iTunes would love to have comics for sale on there, as they need all the traffic they can get.
