Brubaker/Phillips’s neo-pulp comic Incognito returns this fall for its second volume, titled Incognito: Bad Influences.
Phillips recently posted the above picture -the finished cover for the first issue- on his blog.
SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST BOOK WILL BE MENTIONED AFTER THE BREAK. GO READ INCOGNITO IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO.
As we learned at the end of the first series, Zack Overkill was a cloned body of the deceased super-hero Lazarus and brought up as a super villain. It’s interesting to see the cloak of Lazarus on the first issue’s cover. It makes me wonder whether the man on the cover is Lazarus himself -which would mean elements of the story take place in the past- or Zack Overkill taking on the mantle of the man he was cloned from. Either way, I’m excited, and you all should be too.
